Default The Lag Is Still Horrific

For about a week now Guild Wars has turned from a lag free pleasure to play to a choppy, sometimes utterly frozen throwback to some mid 90's MMO.

Whats being done? Whats the problem? And Why is fixing something taking a week?

Maybe you should check your computer or ISP.

Seriously, I've experienced 0 lag here (pacific coast). None.

I haven't had any lag either. Everything is running the same as it always has for me.

It's real bad on the EU servers, on and off. It's much worse than the "rubberbanding" (failed movement prediction) we previously occasionally got, now we're getting stalls, e.g. the entire game stops for a minute or so, then everything that shouldv'e happened in that minute happens in two seconds. When the stalling happens every two minutes or so, it effectively makes it impossible to play.

I've got a dedicated 10MBit full duplex connection, it's definitely not my connection or ISP, it's a server issue.

It started with the last update.

Yeah it's true. It might only be effecting the European servers/districts but I've been suffering from lag an awefull lot in the past week and it's definately not our machines at fault as there are tonns of people complaining about it in-game.

No lag here.

Sounds like a local issue

Well not being on the USA servers means Im hardly aware except via forums of their state of game. and just because the lag isnt present on the USA servers doesnt mean its a problem with my Pc. Which it isnt, this is a games machine that is kept in as near perfect working order with the equipment I have to play my vast collection of games which dont experiance lag. Except Eve-Online but thats not my fualt either.

The fact is that Guild Wars alone when im playing the EU servers is experiance horrific lag, and others are experiancing this too.

So im asking A.Net for info if they have it, and if they dont Ill have to discontinue playing what is at times an unplayable game until I can find out myself what the problems and how to fix them, outside of my own PC and connection and ISP etc.

Seriously its a widespread pain on the EU server, does anyone have a clue WTF is going on?

Playing on European servers, and having lag at times too. I don't think it's my connection, because we play 2 people at home, and often only one of us would have lag (not always though, sometimes it just freezes and you can watch your HP go down untill getting kicked from server with Err=7).

I know what you mean, Myself and many friends are finding it very hard to play. Its a weird lag since it will run fine and then bam, your standing still and then it flashs back to action...This is defenitly widespread, Everyone in the party was complaining about it.

Its making the Dragons Lair that much harder.

If you dont have any lag why are you posting in a topic asking A.Net for some info? Apart from the fact you think your cool of course.

I play on american servers and experince zero to extremly little lag, just a few rubber banding incidents here and there. However one of my guildies is in sweden and he has bad lag spikes quite a bit, but he does play on the american servers with us, so that might be the problem, they is over on the other side of the pond.

There are lags in Euro servers. I think it occurs more since the last patch update. Last night was the worst. The charc was frozen but all conditions hexes and stuff were running.

Playing on the European servers here.

Started to get lag, as others have described, immediately after the last update. It was fine before that.

I've noticed this also (on Euro server) and a guildmate theorized that they're reworking code to put in the two new zones.

I get a bit of rubberbanding here and there. Pretty annoying when running from a heartless mob. -US server-
